Lot 112 THE RARE KINGSTON "MEXICO" FLEURON IN RED; 22nd Jan. 1837 EL (neatly reinforced folds but with long contents) from "Mexico" to Ireland "pr. Sphynx" with a near fine red "FRANCO HAS(?)/TAELPULCO" on the front, and a partly very fine strike of the rare red "MEXICO" fleuron (TR1) on the reverse (slight crease). This fleuron is even rarer than its first cousin that was used - albeit rarely - at Falmouth. Few examples known. PHOTO
