Lot 148 THE UNRECORDED HANDSTRUCK "CLARENDON/PAID/JAMAICA"; 30th June 1848 internal E (overall light toning & with minor reinforcing) to Kingston endorsed "paid" & "post", with a m/s "4" and a very fine inverted strike of this distinctive circular framed mixed type PAID mark (similar to the Mandeville PD13) on the front. On the reverse is a fair "CLARENDON/JAMAICA" c.d.s. with the variety year above date. Very rare; only one other example - ex the same correspondence & in the "Willson" collect
