Lot 161 INGOING SAILOR'S 1D CONCESSION RATE LETTER TO A SAILOR WHO HAD DIED WHILE IT WAS EN ROUTE; Rare 29th July 1801 E (one side-flap removed & with ink stains on address) with a faint "WALTHAM CROSS" mileage mark on the front, endorsed "Post Paid 1d", with a red m/s "Pd.1" and London "PAID" d.s.; addressed to "Mr. George Farington, H.M.S. La Topaze at the Island of Jamaica". Bob's researches (copy of his article enclosed) have shown that the addressee died of yellow fever on 23rd Aug. 1801,
