Lot 185 KINGSTON & BLACK RIVER - INTERNAL 6D-RATE COVER REDIRECTED WITH ADDITIONAL "4d" CHARGE; Unusual 22nd Sept. 1859 E (minor toning) from Kingston to Black River (60-100 miles rate for the 87 miles) with a G.B. 6d lilac tied by a fine Type 01 "AO1" numeral with a Kingston c.d.s. alongside, also endorsed "redirected to Mandeville 4d GMS" for the under 60 miles journey on to Mandeville. On the reverse is a fair "BLACK-RIVER/JAMAICA" c.d.s. with the entire DATE INVERTED. Rare thus. PHOTO
