Lot 188 MAYHILL - 6D-RATE TO KINGSTON; 30th Sept. 1859 E with G.B. 4d rose & 1d Red "stars" pair tied by five neat strikes of the rare "A54" numeral of May Hill with a fine "MAYHILL/JAMAICA" c.d.s. on the reverse; this was for the 63-mile journey & so the 60-100 mile 6d-rate. Foster rated all May Hill G.B. on cover/piece usages as "Very rare", with a total of only 9 items for all rates. Very attractive. PHOTO
