Lot 47 JAMAICAN "FALMOUTH" (T2 & UNRECORDED) MARKS; 1797/1800 EL's to Scotland "p. Packet", each with a "FALMOUTH" mark across the join on the reverse; the marks' dimensions appear similar but the lettering is very different. The first also has a fair "IAMAICA" (and vinegar disinfection stains on the front) and the second has a faint dated "JAMAICA". Scarce and interesting; Foster only records one type. (2 covers). PHOTO
