Lot 58 "CHAPELTON" (T4a) ON VERY HEAVY PREPAID LETTER WITH "JAMAICA/PAID" C.D.S.; 25th April 1839 E (12 x 5 ins. with some wear but complete) to London "Per H.M. Packett Tartarus" with two (fine & fair) strikes of the T4a "CHAPELTON" (latest recorded date) across the join on the reverse (flaps stuck down). The letter was prepaid for the "2 oz" rate (i.e. 9 x the 2/2 rate = 19/6) with a near v. fine strike of the small "JAMAICA/PAID" d.s. (PD3; latest recorded date) of Kingston on the front. A
