which was subsequently recovered. FRED. SULLIVAN, Postmaster for Jamaica. General Post Office, 21st Feb. 1890." label on the reverse, tied by v. fine "KINGSTON" squared circles. Very rare; Bob's researches have shown that only 1000 letters & 35 regd. letters for New York were in the crash in which the mules were drowned and from which the driver was saved; the mail was "submerged for nearly 24 hours". Few examples known; spectacular. PHOTO
