Lot 908 RARE REGISTERED "BOOK POST" WRAPPER TO G.B.; 24th June 1869 large part wrapper with embossed blue "book post" motif on the front, endorsed "registered" and franked with a Pine wmk. 3d green & 4d red-orange cancelled by the "A01" numeral, having a fine strike of the large double oval "JAMAICA/REGISTERED" alongside in RED. Only four examples of this registered mark in red have been recorded and any international registered Bookpost mail is rare at this date. PHOTO
