D. Deliveries and Shades Red Oranges
5'h Delivery- December 7, 1850 to June 30, 1851
5'h delivery impressions -Lines are less distinct than the 4'" impression while maintaining the fuzzy appearance. Frame
lines are mostly complete but not distinct. Background shading and foliates are visible but very soft. Position dots are very
difficult to see. All shades from this delivery contain orange pigments from chromium rather than lead-based dyestuffs.
Red oranges- Shade contains no brown pigment, only red and yellow. Scarcest of al11847 shades.
