CODING DESK MALFUNCTION

A malfunction at Coding Desk N° 15 at the Gare de P.L.M. sorting office has resulted in the
application of two different indexation strikes on one letter. This error occurs when a treated
letter is not immediately ejected into the selected receptacle, usually because it is torn or too
thick, thus jamming the machine. As a result, the next letter to be processed does not move on
and receives multiple indexations.
