This Swedish (the ongoing Second Opium War 1856-1860) postal history display will show more than 425 years of postal and special postal communications´ arrangements for Swedish militaries during war, mili- tary campaigns, navy voyages abroad and Swedes in military active service abroad, thus giving a summary of the Sweden’s war and military history since late 16 century and especially the th military philately story in detail. In my collection is mail related to nearly all 30+ Swedish wars 1582 (earliest recorded) to 1814; Swedish vol- unteers in foreign forces 1734 to 1970s on all continents except Australia and in many conflicts; Swedish warships voyages abroad in peace-time 1828 to 1990s, covering more than 160 voyages; 102 öre paid letter Sept. 29, 1859 from Carlskrona, Sweden via Trieste and by British mail steamer “Bombay” Suez-Bombay.
