This common design, officially named ‘Peace and Reconstruction’ rather than the colloquial ‘Victory’, was
shared by 46 countries. De La Rue were awarded the contract for the whole issue. The stamps were on sale in
Sierra Leone from 1 October 1946 to 31 March 1947.
