Boia to Yonnie
This branch line was first built in 1911 as far as Roruks, to Yonnie in 1912, to Magburaka in 1913, to Makeni
in 1916 and finally to Kamabai in 1916. The total distance from Bauya was 103½ miles. The final extension to
Kamabai was closed in 1930, and the entire branch line closed in 1968. Both Boia and Yonnie had multiple
spellings: Boia was also known as Boya or Bauya, and Yonnie was known as Yonni Banna or Yonibana.
