Street Letter Boxes

The first four public pillar boxes were installed in Freetown
in April 1893. A photograph of the one at the junction of
Krootown Road, Westmoreland Road and Sanders Street was
used to create postcards by an unidentified publisher.
The two shown here are Dickinson Types UPP63100 and
UPP67500. Other cards from the same series are recorded
postally used from February 1901.
