The ninth World Scout Jamboree - the Jubil ee Jamboree - took pl ace in Sutton Co ldfi e ld.
Warwickshire in 1957. T he Jamboree was located in Sutton Park. 33,000 Boy Scouts
representing 90 co untries attended, inc luding 34 1 Scouts fro m No rway.

Mail posted within the camp was handl ed in the temporary sorting offi ce adj acent to the mai n
sorting offi ce in the yard of Sutton Park Stati on. First Day Covers were also handl ed here.

Th e mail cancellin g machine was furni shed with a spec ial Jamboree slogan.
