Scouting Around the World Po land
The Polish Sco ut movement was started in 1910 in Lw6w (now - Lviv, Ukrain e). The rapid development
and popularity of Boy Scouts continued up to 1914, but was interrupted by the o utbreak of World War I.
Around the end of 19 14 and the beginning of 19 15, th e Scout movement resumed , but conti nued in
hiding. The temporary interrupti on was not exact ly caused by the imposed martial law, but mainl y by the
absence of the mature leadership who were mob ili zed in the German Army.

The labe l was most probab ly a fund -ra ising type, and was sold for 4 Groszy.
It had no offic ial postage va lue, and its acceptance as postage is most likely by coincidence.
