The unnumbered
duty plate was a
single 240 set
plate.
The key plate was
formed of two 120
set plates printing
together, one
above the other,
confusingly both
numbered 1 in the
margin. So that the
plates would fit
together, the plate
numbers appear
only in the lower
margin of the
lower plate and, as
seen here, in the
upper margin of
the upper plate.
These two key
plates were also
used alone to print
other 120 set
values.
