Jamaica: The Child Welfare Issue, 1923.
These stamps, modelled on the Swiss Pro Juventute, carried a ½d surcharge on each value to raise
funds for the Child Welfare League. They were recess printed from separate frame and vignette
plates by Bradbury Wilkinson & Co, the first Jamaican postage stamps not printed by De La Rue.
Perforation 12. Issued 1 November 1923.
The designs were based on photos by Miss Violet Taylor.
