A two line overprint in purple is recorded on ordinary, and, less frequently, service stamps. The
period of use is January to March 1961 primarily in Khewra, but also at Haranpur, Malakwal and
Camp POL 254. The upper line of the overprint shows the old currency abbreviated with a capital
A. The second line encloses the new currency. with capital Pin brackets. Little care seems to have
been taken in the handstamping process as inverted and sideways surcharges are almost as common
as the proper strikes.
