Two types of surcharge originate from Charsadda.
Type 1
The commoner, larger, variety was used on several different Ordinary and Service adhesives and
is always struck in shades of puq>le and violet. Showing only the new currency, the word "paisa"
is in small case letters. Height of letters, 6mm, length of"paisa", 15mm. Recorded in use ffrom
1January1961 for about five months with occasional late usages from Charsadda Tehsil, Camp
POL 268, Pol 571, Tangi and Experimental PO.
