cancels SHANKLIN in black ink. The added pair of QV Yid
blue-green values are similarly tied by the straight-line marks
of Shanklin. On arrival at Ryde, the envelope was placed into
the postal system, with the d/ring RYDEii OF WIGHT being

struck at bottom right on 11 th August 1900; arriving in
Tonbridge on the following day, a superb strike of the unique
skeleton cancel TONBRIDGE/STN OFFICE dated lih August

1900 with index E was struck on the back
