An entire written from Manchester on the 14th March 1855 and addressed to
Newport, Monmouthshire with the 1 d red stars being tied by the type II sideways
duplex cancel of Manchester with index N. The letter should have been removed
from the train at Gloucester station to enable it to link up with the Welsh Mail to

continue its journey west.

Struck at the top is the so far unique example of the large format 36 x 1 lmm
