Plate 3. London to Kendal. February 13, 1843. Plate 3 was put into service in 1841 and
was used until replaced by Plate 4 in 1849. The Maltese cross cancellation was
replaced by the numeral-style cancellations in 1844. Red London Feb. 13, 1843 and
blue Kendal Feb. 14, 1843 datestamps on the reverse.
