                      First with British followed by Soviet assistance Reza Khan (later Reza Shab) could consolidate his power
                      and in 1926 establish the new  Pahlavi dynastiy.  While waiting for new  issue to be delivered stock of
                      Ahmed Shah 1924 issue were used for a short period in various provincial post offices. The face of shah
                      defaced by cork obliterator or pieces of paper. Covers scarce.
