                                     NOTICES  FOR  THE  YEARS  1730-1739


          -- 3001  NEWS  (General Post Office, March 3, 1730)  {Julian Calendar. March 3, 1729}
              Whereas the Post Boy in carrying the Bristol Mail of Saturday last from London, was set upon and robbed by a Single
          Person on Foot, about Four o'Clock on Sunday morning, betwixt Knightsbridge and Kensington. The Postmaster-General
          thinks proper to make it publickly known, that whoever shall apprehend the Person who committed this Robbery, will, upon
          his Conviction be entitled to a Reward of Two hundred Pounds, besides the Reward by Act of Parliament for apprehending
          of Highwaymen:  Or if any one Accomplice in the said Robbery shall make a Discovery of the Person who committed the
          Fact, such Accomplice will be entitled to the said Reward of Two hundred Pounds, and also have the King's most Gracious
          Pardon.
              The Person who committed this Robbery is described to be a lusty Man in a dark coloured Riding Coat:  He carried
          away  all  the  Bags  of the  Mail upon  the Post  Horse, which  was  taken up  in  Long-acre  as  a  Stray  sometime  after  the
          Robbery.


          -- 3 0 0 2  NEWS  (General Post-Office, June 27, 1730)

              These are to give Notice, That the Post will go every Night,  (Sundays excepted) from London to Tunbridge, and from
          Tunbridge Wells to London, from Monday the 29th of this Instant June, during the Summer Season, as usual.


          --3 0 0 3  NEWS  (General Post-Office, August 31, 1730)

              Whereas the Post-Boy bringing the Bristol Mail to London, was  set upon and Robbed by a  single  Person on Foot,
          about Nine o'Clock last Night, half a Mile before he came to Maidenhead; The Post-Master General thinks proper to make
          it publickly known,  that whoever  shall apprehend the Person who  committed this  Robbery, will,  upon his  Conviction be
          entitled to a Reward of Two Hundred Pounds, besides the Reward by Act of Parliament for apprehending of Highwaymen:
          Or if any  one  Accomplice  in  the  said  Robbery  shall  make  a  Discovery  of the  Person who  committed  the  Fact,  such

          Bath,  Bruton,  Tinehead,  Froom,  Calne,  Marlborough,  Ramsbury,  Newbury,  Reading,  Hungerford,  Great-Bedwin,
          Uphaven, Netherhaven, Aimsbury, Lavington, Westbury, Trowbridge, Bradford, Warminster, Shipton Mallet, Pusey, Wells.



          --3101  NEWS  (General-Post-Office, June 18, 1731)

              These are to give Notice, that the Post will go every Night (Sundays excepted) from London to Tunbridge, and from
          Tunbridge Wells to London, from Monday the Twenty First Instant, during the Summer Season as usual.



          -- 3201  NEWS  (General Post-Office, January 5, 1732)  {Julian Calendar: January 5, 1731}

              Whereas a Letter dated the 3d Instant, and signed P. A. C. is come to Hand: This is to acquaint the Person who wrote
          it, upon his performing what he therein offers, shall have all due Encouragement.

              Whereas the  Post Boy bringing the Bristol and Gloucester Mails  to London,  was  set upon and robbed by a single
          Person on Foot, between Two and Three a Clock this Morning, two Miles before he came to Hounslow:
