From 1855 until 1886 only handmade paper was used
when printing Swedish stamps. The paper had in each
upper corner watermark crowns
placed, which embosses the
paper. The paper was delivered
from the Swedish Central Bank’s
Paper Mill in Tumba. The Circle
Type postage stamps in perfo‐
ration 14 and 13 were printed on
this type of paper.
