Issy-les-Moulineaux to Alfortville
               11 April 1968

The distance between Issy-les-Moulineaux in Houts-de-Seine and Alfortville in neighbouring Val-
de-Marne is only 13 kilometres yet the above item of mail has been sorted twice during its short
transit of the capital. The likely reason is that when it arrived at the Rue du Louvre office,
rather than being sorted immediately for Alfortville it was directed to the Gare d' Austerlitz to
provide practice material for the coding desk operators.
