Contemporary World Wide Swedish Navy Operations (WWI - WWII)... HMS Sverige (1917-1953) Sverige was built at Götaverken in Göteborg as Pansarskepp (armoured ship). She was 119,7 m. long, 18,6 m. wide and weight was 6852 ton. Armed with 20 cannons, from 283 mm to 57 mm and 2 torpedo tubes. Normal crew size: 427 men. HMS Gustav V (1922-1957) Gustav V was built at Kockums shipyard in Malmö as Pansarskepp (armoured ship). She was 120,9 m. long, 18,6 m. wide and weight was 6842 ton. Armed with 20 cannons, from 283 mm to 57 mm and 2 torpedo tubes. Normal crew size: about 425 men. HMS Af Chapman (1923-1934) Af Chapman was built by Whitehaven Shipbuilding Company in Whitehaven, United Kingdom as a three-masted full rigged ship for the Australian trade with name “Dunboyne”. 1915 changed name to G D Kennedy and used as sail training ship. From 1923 in the Swedish Navy. She was 74,7 m. long, 11,4 m. wide and weight was 1492 ton. HMS Gotland (1934-1960) Gotland was built at Götaverken in Göteborg as aircraft cruiser. She was 134,7 m. long, 15,4 m. wide and weight was 5550 ton. Max. 9 aircraft onboard. Armed with 10 cannons, from 152 mm to 75 mm, 6 torpedo tubes and 80-100 mines. Normal crew size: 417 men.
