Notation “FAST. (under the risk of) 10 Rdr penalty and the responsibility. Dispatched May 13, 1812 .” on back. Crown postmarks with initials “E.R.B” was used (known 1810-1814) by county sheriff Elis R. Berg. Several Crown postmarks indicated very urgent (express) letter. To have the highest amount of possible crew members for the war- ships, the sick military personnel were sent out from the naval base to stop the transmit of infections. As the French Army occupy the Swedish Pomerania in January 1812, the Swedish Army mobilize and reinforce the southern part of Sweden. The Swedish Navy in Karlskrona Naval Base is under high alert to stop any French attacks on the Swedish mainland.
