The £1, £2 and £5 values were principally intended for fiscal use only. A heavy airmail item could have been
charged over £2 from 1926; before this, there was virtually no postal service for which they could be used.
19 August 1930 - Supreme Court usage of high value stamps
This piece bears five different values, including a £5 and six £1 stamps, totalling £11 13s. Each stamp is
cancelled three times; in manuscript, by a SUPREME / COURT handstamp, and by green crayon.
