     Unused posta l stationery cover with I/2 d George V die, depicting a Boy Scout and preprinted address.
     The posta l stationery cover (without additional privately printed address) was issued from 191 3.
     Th e 1911 England Census says that George Hardock Wood, born 1889, lived in Sutton, Surrey.
      It has not been poss ible to ascertain if Mr. Wood ever was responsib le for any Boy Scout publi cations.

The first World Scout Jamboree was organized by The Boy Scout Assoc iation in London . It took place in
London, England, in the exhibition hall s of Olympia from 30 July to 8 August 1920. Around 5,000 Scouts were
encamped at the Old Deer Park in nearby Richmond . The Scouts rotated in and o ut of O lympia to give them all
the opportuni ty to partici pate in the events there . The Thames flooded the campsite one ni ght and Scouts had to
be evacuated. O lympia hosted numero us exhibitions, pageants and contests du ring the Jamboree event.

The Jamboree did not have its own post office or a special postmark, but a boxed, square cachet
was used on mail from the camp. Postcard w ith cachet "THE SCOUTS INTERNAT ION AL
JAMBOREE CAMP 1920 OLD DEER PARK RI CHMOND; SURREY. " and machine cance l
" RICHMOND SU RREY 7 AUG 20", sent to Lame, County Antrim, Northern Ireland .
