cachet w ith the Waldpfadfinder Boy Scout badge. Mailed from " HELSINKI 24. IX.30" and
fl own by "Graf Zeppe lin" on the Baltic Sea flight from He lsinki to Friedrichshafen. Special
fli ght cachet in vio let, transit postmark " FRIEDR ICHSHAFEN 25.9.30".
The 1930 Baltic Sea fli ght of th e airship Graf Zeppe lin was from Friedrichshafen with land ing
in Berlin, and a long round trip with mail drops in Ri ga (Latvia), Ta llin (Eston ia), Helsinki
(Finland) and Stockho lm (Sweden). In Helsinki the mail was let down on a rope, and mail from
Finl and was taken on board. The Finni sh Zeppelin postage stamp was va li d for postage on o ne
day only, 24 September 1930. The postage rates were l 0 M fo r postca rds a nd 20 M for letters.
