Pan-Hellenic Scout Jamboree, Athens, 19-28 August, 1950.

Scouting started in Greece in 1910 and Soma Hellinon Proskopon (Gref:k Scout
Association) was recognised by the World Scout Conference in 1922, of which

it was a founder member. A large number of the members of the Asso.:iation
belong to the Orthodox Church, but it is open to youth of all religions.
