Jamaica: The Vendryes Official
Official use of the first setting.
Many of the ½d Vendryes officials were used on inland printed matter and cards for official business
connected with the Jamaica Exhibition of 1891.
The addressee of this printed paper is Henry Vendryes, Kingston, the father of the printer, Philippe
Camille Vendryes. Henry Vendryes was a distinguished lawyer and sat on official bodies. He was a
guarantor of the Exhibition. This is an official notice from the Exhibition Office of a regular monthly
meeting of the Exhibition Commissioners for the Jamaica Exhibition.
