The first Jamaican issues of Revenue and
Postage stamps were based on the series De La Rue initially developed plates for
the high value revenues, issued from
of designs of Queen Victoria’s head, 1857, using the Diadem IV design which
engraved by Joubert de la Ferte in the mid became known as the ‘Laureated Head’.
