Jamaica Revenues: Direct Embossed in Vermilion, 1900 - 1971.
Direct embossed stamps with vermilion ink replaced uncoloured embossed stamps from 1900.
In a change from the uncoloured embossed stamps, but like the companion set, the newly issued
1899 impressed Adhesive Revenues, the date was incorporated in the design, set in three plugs, and
each stamp also carried a code letter, akin to a die number.
