new currency in small letters, Pin capitals, in brackets. Length of Pies 7.5mm, Length of Annas
llmm, Length of Paisa 7/7.Smm, Height of letters 2/2.Smm. Struck mainly in various shades of
purple. but occasionally in black. on both ordinary and service issues. postmarks throughout the
region during most of 1961 and early 1962 have been recorded.
