GUJRANW ALA DISTRICT

            Two types of surcharge originate from this District.  The first is possibly a prototype for the second.

            Type  1.  A  scarce  handstamp  recorded  on  a  single  Service  stamp  and two  denominations  of
            Ordinary adhesives. Single line handstamp with currencies spelled in full, capital A and P with new
            currency in brackets. Height of P and A 3mm, Length of overprint 32mm.
            SERVICE.  Only recorded on one value, usually struck in purple but also recorded in black.





























            ORDINARY.  Recorded on two values used in Arup, Kutchery Gujranwala between February and
            June 1961.
