TANK
Two very distinctive handstamps were employed at Tank, the first exclusively on Service issues
and the second, far more common type, on both Service and Ordinary stamps.
Type 1. Old and new currencies (the latter in brackets) with the first letters of each denomination
in capitals enclosed in a box of hollow squares with spikes at each comer. Length of Paisa and
Anna 1 lmm, Height of capitals 3mm, Size of box 26mm x 21mm. Recorded in use in Tank
February to November 1961.
