1.5 Russian Services to Europe via Irkutsk
From 31 May 1931 until late summer 1931 Eurasia flew from Shanghai to Manchouli to connect by railway to Irkutsk
where it linked with the Russian service to Moscow for onward transmission to Berlin. The air surcharge was $2.00
per 20g for the Shanghai to Berlin route in addition to $0.20 for 20g international surface rate.
31 May 1931 ‑ Shanghai to Hamburg, Germany. Berlin backstamp (11 Jun). Rare PAR AVION DE IRKUTSK VIA MOSCOW handstamp.
Additional adhesives on reverse: $1 and 2 x 30c. Single rate letter $0.20 + $2.00 = $2.20.
