Constant Variety - Butterfly Flaw - Dot Cylinders Stamp 19/1
This was a multipositive flaw which can be detected in some form on Cylinders 2 to 15. On Cylinders other than
6, 14 and 15 it is evidenced only by a disturbance in the area behind The Queen’s head. The retouch on the
multipositive failed during the creation of Cylinders 6,
14 and 15, although these were individually retouched
during their lives, yielding two states. The Butterfly
Flaw on Cylinder 6 dot is rare.
