In the two sides of the document shown in the last two sheets the strips, both vertical & horizontal show
clearly all varieties of inking, giving rise to the mistaken interpretations regarding colour by K&P.
The issue is further illustrated with an 1897 document (front shown here & part of reverse overleaf).
