Doncaster
Doncaster to Brighton Cancelled by both the red distinctive Doncaster Maltese
cross and black town datestamp. Postmasters were instructed to cancel the
adhesive with the Maltese cross obliterator and to strike the datestamp on the
reverse. Doncaster appears to have consistently placed its datestamp on the front
of the cover. It is especially unusual to find the datestamp covering very much, if
any, of a penny black adhesive.
