Regent Rīegent
The village of Regent is a few miles south of Freetown in the foothills of the
coastal mountains. It opened as a full post office on 1 October 1892, but closed
around 1928. It re-opened in 1941, but the date was not Gazetted. The final
handstamp did not have sufficient slugs to make up the years 47 and 50 to 55.
It was still listed as being open at independence in 1961, but no examples have
been recorded after 1957.
