Serabu
Rotifunk is located on the railway in the Moyamba District. It was opened as a Waterloo
full post office on 1 April 1900, but downgraded to a Railway Office 2 February Mano
1927. It reverted to being a full Post Office on 2 February 1937, and was still open
at independence in 1961. From 1908, the mails were three times per week via Serabu
Mano, and then on the railway to Freetown.
20 January 1910 - Serabu to Banbury, UK. Transit handstamps of Waterloo (27 Jan) and Freetown (28 Jan). Backstamped at
Banbury (13 Feb). The Waterloo routing cannot be explained, nor the week elapsed time to reach it.
20 September 1952 - Serabu to Chapelizod, Ireland.
