Songo

This office on the railway was initially called Prince Alfred Town when it opened Songo
on 30 March 1893. It was renamed Songo in 1897, although no postmark using 
that name was sent until 3 May 1904. The office was closed from 1 March 1910
and reopened on 1 May 1925, thereafter remaining open until independence.

6 July 1960 - Songo to Leicester, United Kingdom. Rate 1s 3d per ½oz air mail plus 6d registration fee. Overpaid 6d.
