10 May 1895 - Freetown to Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
A crested envelope from Lt. Rowland L. Telford to Miss Ethel Rew in Suffolk. Correctly franked 5d for
a double rate letter of between one and two ounces. The stamps have been cancelled by a late usage of a
Freetown B31 obliterator, with a Freetown datestamp of 10 May 1895 alongside. There is a Liverpool transit
datestamp of 26 May 1895, and a Bury St Edmunds arrival mark of 27 May 1895 on the flap.
