1896 - 1897 Duty Plate Die Proofs
The duty plates were produced in three groups; master dies for eight values were made in September 1896, four
more in March 1897 and finally one further value in April 1897. The dates in black relate to the manufacture
of the plates, and those in red refer to the date of the invoice to the colony. All ex De La Rue archives.
Duty die proofs for just the ½d, 1½d, 4d, 5d and 6d values were produced.
