Forgeries
Forged stamps created by bleaching out the country name and value from an appropriate host stamp
Postal use of the higher values was low due to the small number of parcels or heavy letters. Forgeries are know
of the 5d, 2s, 5s and £1 values. They always have either a fake FREETOWN cancel or a legacy mark from the
host stamp.
